The eighties incarnation of the Steve Morse Band, with Jerry Peek on bass and Rod Morgenstein on drums, produced two albums: "The Introduction" and "Stand Up". After these followed a six year gap in which Steve was a member of Kansas, worked as a commercial airline pilot and produced his solo album "High Tension Wires" (presumably not in-flight but with Steve you never know...). "Stand Up" is the second album of the first incarnation of the Steve Morse Band. In an attempt for more "commercial appeal" no less than four guest vocalists were added, not, however, to the detriment of the music.
